Olive Oil will go rancid (as will most nut oils and vegetable oils). This applies to all wood surfaces, even if not a true butcher block.<BR/><BR/>For a butcher block, you should use either a specific product for butcher block (expensive) or Mineral Oil (as found in your local pharmacy and used as a laxitive).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
