Many municipalities offer Christmas tree recycling programs in which post-holiday evergreens can be converted into fragrant mulch, according to a report in the Miami Herald.Throughout the U.S., various organizations have tree recycling programs at different municipal trash and recycling centers. Some public parks also provide a chipping service for undecorated trees. And some programs last through mid-January. Earth911.org has an online search for tree recycling centers in your area.
